Jiwon is a Creative Director and an artist based in Maine.

My art reflects the essence of grief, focusing on the four basic elements: fire, water, earth, and air. By surrendering to its hopelessness, I believe we can detach from the eternal suffering caused by grief. My art is about offering solace to those wrestling with the painful reality of loss, providing a silent companion in moments of sorrow, and finding beauty within.
My grief over my dad’s passing accompanies me in each brush stroke. I hope my art offers a sense of connection and understanding to those who may feel alone in dealing with grief — over whatever it may be — for a loved one, an idea, a wish that never came true, and so on. Surrendering to grief gives us a chance of rebirth. Through peace and silence, I find myself in tune with my dad’s love, and it's that profound connection that I seek to convey through my art.
